HOW DO I JOIN?

The Ennis Safe Homes Network offers parents and other adults an opportunity to join together to help provide a safer environment for their children. It does not require commitment of time or extra effort for already-busy families. It is simply an agreement to follow some simple principles that will provide a safer world for our children to grow up in.

A Safe Home is a home that…

• Actively supervises all gatherings of youth in the home or on the property or asks another responsible adult for help to do so.
• Does not allow the possession or use of alcohol, tobacco, or other drugs by youth in the home or on the property.
• Provides a secure storage place for all forms of alcohol, firearms, and other potentially hazardous items.
• Sets expectations for children by knowing where they are going, whom they are with, what they will be doing, and when they are to return home.
